What is the MKPOA?
MKPOA is a non profit 501 (C)(4) which promotes social welfare through community outreach and improvement initiatives. MKPOA’s primary focus is to
- Preserve neighborhood character through adherence to CC&Rs
- Protect ocean, mountain and canyon views of or all homeowners
- Community Resilience and security
- Fostering community engagement and connection
- Liaising with city agencies and other stakeholders on matters impacting our neighborhood
Are annual dues mandatory?
Are there Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) in Marquez Knolls?
Yes the original 22 Lachman tracts built on the hillside consisting of approximately 600 homes are subject to CC&Rs, which remain legal binding. The other tracts do not have CC&Rs. The CC&Rs establish rules regarding property use, building requirements, and view protection. MKPOA has set up an easy way to access your tract and identify your CC&R’s for your tract. How can I get involved in the MKPOA?
Residents are encouraged to Join MKPOA (Click Here) and to participate in meetings, events, and committees. Community involvement helps maintain neighborhood standards and fosters a stronger, safer community.
What does the legal defense fund do?
We are in escrow and in need of the HOA Documents and or HOA Demand.
The Marquez Knolls Property Owners Association is a voluntary 501(c)(4) association.It is not a Davis Stirling or Common Interest Association. Membership is strictly voluntary.The annual membership cost is $100. Although dues are not mandatory, we hope all new residents will join. To learn more, please visit the website at MKPOA.ORG.
While many properties are subject to CC&Rs, many are not. The specific CC&Rs for the property you are asking about should be obtained from the title company or public records.
